How we approach it.
The finish you want, in a house you actually live in. Most bathroom work splits into two visits: a rough-in before the walls close up, and a trim-out once the tile and finishes are in. We schedule around your tile setter rather than expecting them to schedule around us.
Valve choice matters more than people expect. It sets what trim will fit, whether the shower can be serviced later without opening the wall, and how the temperature behaves when someone flushes a toilet. It is worth two minutes of conversation before it is buried in the wall.
Single-fixture swaps are welcome work, not a job we would rather not take. A leaking toilet or a failing shower valve is a real problem and it does not need to become a remodel.
